The much anticipated Dacia Spring has arrived in Ireland, priced from just €16,990.
Powered by a 26.8kWh battery, the new Spring offers up to 225 kilometres of range. There are two power options, 45hp or 65hp, with the latter also adding 30kW DC fast charging.
7kW AC charging is possible so a 20-100% charge at home should take no more than four hours from a wallbox and 11 hours using a common three pin plug.
It’s also capable of vehicle to load charging, which means it can power other electrical devices.
The Spring weighs less than a tonne and is designed to be a simple, efficient city car. It’s small inside but does have a 308 litre boot, which is more typical of cars from the class above. Driver assistance features include traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning and lane keeping assist.
It will be available in two trim levels: Essential and Extreme.
The Spring first launched in Europe in 2021, however was available in right hand drive only.
